EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a widely accepted, evidence based treatment for helping people come to terms with traumatic events in their lives.  Until recently it has only been available in an individual format.  The G-TEP (group traumatic events protocol) is a promising new protocol that is being used with larger numbers of people.

We are doing research with cancer patients to determine whether this protocol is helpful in reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
